Aqua Tips
Never leave children unsupervised near water!
Children and ponds can be kept apart by a simple fence construction.
Always stock your pond in late Spring/Summer when water temperatures are more beneficial.
Be sure to purchase fish that look healthy, active and undamaged.
Avoid buying under 3 inches in length as they have a higher mortality rate than larger fish.
Site your pump at the opposite end of the pond to your waterfall or filter return for better circulation.
Try to use a pump stand to avoid contact with silt.
Avoid the use of harmful chemicals in the vicinity of your pond.
As a precaution always use a RCD (Residual Current Device) for the connection of any electrical devices.
Never be tempted to break ice as the shock waves may damage your fish.
Use a pan of boiling water to melt the ice until it is thawed.
Take time to enjoy what you have created.
We advise that any installation of electrical equipment relating to a water feature should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
